About NAPS

Not Another Pottery Studio

As the name suggests, NAPS is not (just!) another pottery studio. We offer memberships and classes that include firing, over 100 different brushable and dippable glazes and underglazes, and as many different, fun tools as possible, so your only additional expense should ever be clay (but it's included in classes!).

NAPS is also dedicated to providing the local Northeast Los Angeles community with free and low cost arts events, beyond pottery, so that everyone has the opportunity to be part of our space and discover their inner artist while connecting with others in our welcoming community.

Our unique space

A quirky, beautiful studio

We've crafted a studio that caters to both wheel throwers and handbuilders. Our space features brand new Shimpo Whisper wheels, custom-built sit-stand workbenches, and a glaze bar with over 100 different brushable glazes and underglazes.

Each glaze is stored in a glass jar with a QR code, so you can look up what you need without messing up your phone with clay-covered fingertips. Whether you're a seasoned potter or a complete beginner, the studio is designed to inspire creativity and comfort.

Beyond pottery, we are dedicated to providing free and low cost arts events to the local NELA community. Through events, workshops, and partnerships with local organizations, we aim to make a positive impact and share the joy of pottery with everyone.

A space that stays safe

At NAPS we are committed to maintaining a respectful, fun, and inclusive environment. We have a zero tolerance policy for rudeness, bigotry, theft, unsolicited critique, and repeated failure to clean up after yourself. Everyone should feel safe and respected in our studio, and we enforce this strictly so that every member has a good experience.
